Regarding the idea of “order” in Egypt: I always think of the upper class – excluding the elite… as the policemen of the 2 percent who rule, unknowingly. The very ethos of the upper class – its sense of morality, derives from protection of the elite. When “order” returns, it will ride in on the back of the management class – and help establish yet another corrupt state.

from a status update,
Egyptian troops received orders to deploy everywhere tomorrow – except the central square in Cairo. Public relations.
Mohamed ElBaradei with Colin Powell — The US will use Mubarek to enact this crackdown, then replace him with a more PR friendly, western, technocrat in the pockets of both the US govt and corporations: ElBaradei. TO regain control, the US needs Mubarek’s extreme nature, for the crackdown, to restore “order” – that is why the US is playing both sides.

If there are actual protesters looting in Egypt, Florent Giehmann writes, “Poor people who loot when given the opportunity are the direct products & consequence of Capital & the domination of ruling classes. In looting they are only fulfilling a natural law of social and economic equalization & re-balancing where inequality and unbalance was previously artificially maintained….”

The most recent cabinet of Egyptian government had the largest number of business men ever appointed in the history of the country. The divide between rich and poor grew, just as in the US. The rich did well, everyone else: worse than ever.

“Well-dressed thugs meet in September 2010.”

On Egypt, Florent Giehmann writes, “The state has disappeared. And yet life goes on, the people self-organise, volunteers clean the streets. The state is useless.” — Meanwhile, the reported looting and chaos has been revealed to the government’s attempt to justify a crackdown. Where are the police? They are playing the role of criminals, for the state, to secure the state. They are the looters.

Foreshadowing for Egypt – Florent Giehmann writes, “Very interesting how the original people’s coalition is now fragmenting along class lines in Tunisia: working classes demanding more radical change; petit-bourgeois demanding order.”
I always think of the upper class – excluding the elite… as the policemen of the 2 percent who rule, unknowingly. The very ethos of the upper class – its sense of morality, derives from protection of the elite.

from Jay Murphy– 3.14pm: “Water cannons have been moved in and tanks have been split into two columns”, he says. “The mood amongst the people, who were very positive towards the army, does seem to be changing. People are very very suspicious of the army now. They want to know why a squadron of Egypt’s best tanks is sitting in the entrance to square,” he said… guardian.co.uk
Military crackdown in Egypt: The US will use President Mubarek to do the dirty work, then appoint a nice western technocrat to control things.

More blood is spilled in a country that is a stable US puppet and ‘orderly’ than in a country experiencing a revolt.

from a status update,
Hillary Clinton says US administration wants an “orderly exchange of power” – translation: the US just wants control over the people, doesn’t care who leads. Translation of the word orderly = Military force.
The US will use Mubarek to do the dirty work, then appoint a puppet, a nice technocrat whose heart is in US capitalism and torture and war.
The ‘freedoms’ Americans either enjoy, or believe they enjoy, depend on foreign oppression… the world at large is the ghetto of the US.
And the third world is the ghetto of US franchises in the first world.
